Frida Escobedo

Beginning her education at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Escobedo completed a master’s degree in public art at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. In 2006 she founded her own practice located in Mexico City. A common theme in Escobedo’s work is time in a social context. She is commended for her interactive, temporary works that serve many different purposes. Some of her most notable projects include the courtyard at La Tallera in Cuernavaca, Casa negra in Mexico City, a temporary Aztec inspired reflection display in London, and many others. In 2018, Escobedo became the youngest architect to work on the Serpentine Pavilion in London.
